Get to know our fellows
What is a fellow?
He is a member of the Newman Academy, priest, religious or layman, available to share their knowledge and love for the Cardinal's writings, with those who want to delve deeper into his ideas.
“The Asociacion Amigos de Newman in Argentina was founded in 1990 on the occasion of the centenary of his death, with the same motto of his cardinal's shield: “Cor ad cor loquitur”, the heart speaks to the heart, and our publication Newmaniana was inspired by the words from his epitaph: “Ex umbris et imaginibus in veritatem”, from shadows and images to the truth.
Throughout these years, the friendly bond since its origin with the Saint John Society, which invokes Newman as its intellectual patron, has been a true joy. Therefore, with great affection we support and accompany this new initiative of the Newman Academy, which will help to further spread his life and thought, so appropriate to illuminate the minds and hearts of many in these times. United in faith, we ask Saint John Henry Newman for his permanent intercession.”
